Official Press Release detailing the next single

E-Talking

November 8th

SOULWAX return with a new single 'E-Talking' taken from their acclaimed album 'Any Minute Now' on November 8 th on [PIAS] Recordings. E-Talking has quickly become both an album and live standout and bombastic opening to proceedings thanks to its dynamic and pulsing refrain. " One would assume that the song was about the club culture that they experienced, with its "It's not you - it's the E-Talking" chorus, but is equally about their lives, "Life is sometimes like a science fiction movie, it slows down and gets a little freaky," says Stephen. "I like that it starts the album, because it references our experiences as DJs, but at the same time it sounds like Zeppelin with synths," adds David. Indeed it does.a song that works equally in the mosh pit and on the dancefloor. A rare commodity these dark pop days.

Following their recent triumphant appearances at Reading/Leeds and festivals across Europe, Soulwax have announced their first UK tour in four years, with a series of dates through October. Expect the full might of their live machine to be wheeled out for your pleasure, the recent dates and festival slots were merely a taster for what is to come. Expect their trademark meticulous sonic exploration plus some extra sensory abuse thrown in for good measure.

Recorded over the past three years 'Any Minute Now' -the album; was made in London, New York, and at their home studio in Ghent, predominantly produced by Flood (Smashing Pumpkins, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, PJ Harvey,U2, Nine Inch Nails), and mixed with Alan Moulder (Depeche Mode, Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The single will see a continuation of the acclaimed artwork by Trevor Jackson and another exciting remix package.

"The Dewaele brothers have made a record worthy of being spun in one of their own DJ sets. 4/5- INDEPENDENT ON SUNDAY

"Any Minute Now' is alive with electro rock ingenuity, each song punching through unlikely barriers. KKKK'- KERRANG!

"One of the most engaging indie-dance albums of the year. 4.5/5" - DJ

"From glitterball electro to QOTSA stompers, Soulwax get back to making their own music in storming style."- NME

"Squelchy acid feedback, big analogue bass lines and spidery guitars in wonky chord progressions to dizzying effect."- THE OBSERVER
